repetitiveness & redundancy

We have heard several quotes and cliches about repetition. Repetitiveness and redundancy have pros and cons. If it aint broke don't fix it is what they say so I am all about a continuing a successful system or cycle that creates and promotes growth and progress but what about failed systems? Relationships, business ventures, and any other thing that has brought nothing but failure and disgrace why repeat it? Insanity is defined as doing the EXACT same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. Why do we tend to gravitate repeatedly to the things and people that cause us to lose? Do we like losing and being disappointed? It would seem that way as we evaluate ourselves and our behavior over the years repetitiveness and redundancy has hurt us more than it has helped us. Things don't change unless we make them change. You will never know what you truly can be without venturing out and taking chances to change your situation don't let familiarity handicap your mind and limit your success.
